Remedial Massage
Massage is particularly complementary to McTimoney Chiropractic as well as very successful as a treatment in its own right.
Benefits of Remedial Massage include:
- Relieves muscle fatigue, tension and soreness
- Increases blood flow and improves circulation
- Removes waste products from tissues, reducing fatigue and inflammation
- Improves, tones and conditions skin
- Maintains muscles in their best state of nutrition and vitality enabling maximum function and relaxation
The first treatment will begin with an initial consultation which is followed by a remedial massage consisting of legs, arms, back and shoulders. The depth and pressure of each massage is specific to the patient's individual requirements.
Remedial massage : 60mins
Reflexology
Reflexology uses the idea that the whole body is mapped out on the soles of the patient's feet, with reflexes connected to corresponding areas of the body. A thumb or finger movement is used to unblock any blocked reflexes allowing the body to rebalance itself. The treatment lasts about 45 minutes with an initial consultation of 20 minutes.
Indian head massage
Indian head massage can be both a stimulating and/or relaxing treatment. It concentrates on the upper back, upper arms, neck, scalp and face. Oils can be used to condition the skin and hair, alternatively the treatment can be performed through clothing. The treatment lasts about 25 minutes with an initial consultation of 20 minutes.
