Rebecca Taylor DC MMCA

Practice Principal/Clinic Director
General Chiropractic Council Reg No 00916
BUPA Provider No 30034064

Rebecca tried very hard not to become a McTimoney chiropractor but gave in to her vocation eventually! She started receiving treatment at the age of 18 following a cycling accident and ten years later trained at the McTimoney Chiropractic College. Originally in practice in London she came to the Island in 2000 and opened Cowes Chiropractic Clinic in 2002.

During her career so far Rebecca has inspired 11 of her patients to go on and train to become McTimoney chiropractors. She has mentored several more, taught practical skills at the McTimoney Chiropractic College and written for the national press. Rebecca enjoys general practice and her specialities include sailing injuries and working with pregnant women and newborn babies.

Her ambition for Cowes Chiropractic Clinic is that it is a place where people come to have a problem solved, experience healing and become inspired to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. The practitioners work as a team to support the patients' recovery and help them discover their body's amazing ability to heal itself.

In her free time Rebecca enjoys yachting and skiing. She is happy to give talks and demonstrations to clubs and groups, the latest addition being 'How to Stop Your Boat Breaking Your Back!'

Esme Connelly - McTimoney Chiropractor

Esme Connelly BSc Hons (Chiro) MMCA

McTimoney Chiropractor
General Chiropractic Council Reg No 03100

Esme gained her BSc Hons McTimoney Chiropractic qualification in 2008. Whilst attending the McTimoney Chiropractic College, Esme worked at the Cowes Chiropractic Clinic as a deep tissue massage therapist for five years.

Esme has a wealth of understanding of the McTimoney chiropractic treatment as she became a McTimoney patient at the age of eight. Up until this point, Esme suffered with numerous daily absences and was eventually diagnosed with epilepsy. At the age of eight she received a course of McTimoney chiropractic treatment, from which she experienced a remarkable improvement and subsequently over a couple of years had grown out of this condition.

Esme has a passion for chiropractic and enjoys treating patients of all ages. Having firsthand experience of receiving chiropractic at such young age, this has given Esme a focus on paediatric patients. She has enjoyed success with children that suffer with such conditions as ADHD, Autism, dyspraxia as well as with very young babies.

Esme left school at the age of 16 and pursued a career in the global marine industry, gained numerous qualifications and worked within many sectors of the sailing industry including corporate, racing and charter management. Working in this environment for over nine years, she has seen the world and has gained valuable life experiences. After roaming the globe, Esme returned home to the Isle of Wight and re-experienced McTimoney treatment which inspired her to go on and train as a McTimoney chiropractor and has been in practice since January 2009.

Phil Milner DC - McTimoney Chiropractor

Phil Milner DC

McTimoney Chiropractor
General Chiropractic Council Reg No 03325

Phil attained his BSc Hons in Chiropractic from McTimoney Chiropractic College in January 2010, and joined Cowes Chiropractic Clinic in April 2010. Whilst studying for his degree he also trained as a Sports Therapist, gaining a distinction in his diploma and also adding a qualification in myofascial release.

Having supported himself with a wide variety of jobs during his studies, he also acted as chairman of the Student Union, representing the McTimoney Chiropractic College around the world. Phil was able to put his Sports Therapy to great use working for the Super League, as sports therapist to the match officials at Harlequins and Celtic Crusaders on match days.

Having qualified Phil is enjoying having time to have hobbies again, following many sports especially motorsport, equestrian sports and golf. He plays regularly with an aim of a 15 handicap by the end of the year. These passions fostered a keen interest in the biomechanics of the golfer, horse rider and other sportsmen, with a strong belief in how chiropractic can aid and improve sports performance.

To quote his graduation speech -
"Live with intention, dare to walk on the edge, listen hard, practice wellness, play with all your heart, honour your choices, learn all your life, do what you love."
